Showcasing Our Work: The Rideau Community Hub Project

We are excited to highlight our recent project for the Rideau Community Hub, a collaborative community space housing various social service agencies at the former Rideau High School. This hub provides a wealth of essential services, including childcare, a food bank, immigration community resources, after-school programs, community advocacy, and support for isolated elders, as well as various indigenous cultural groups.

The organizations at the Rideau Community Hub play a vital role in delivering community and cultural services to the Rideau/Vanier community and surrounding neighborhoods. However, many of these organizations tend to operate in silos, limiting their collective impact. To address this challenge, we developed the Rideau Community Hub Information Bulletin, which serves as a crucial tool for improving service accessibility and community engagement.

This initiative enhances participants’ access to valuable community resources, ensuring that underserved residents in Rideau, Vanier, and nearby areas are informed about and can access the essential services available at the hub. We help create a more integrated and supportive community by fostering collaboration among different organizations.
